Ok...the song has nothing whatsoever to do with Mafioso...its just the best Iron Maiden song of all time, and in Jack's opinion, the second best song of all time. Enjoy.

NEWS!!! YAY!!!

New song is up by yours truely and its the best song i've ever written, (at least read the chorus, ok?)
-Jack on 9/12/04

Replacement Required
Tis a sad day in the world of Mafioso...our esteemed singer, the best we're probably ever gonna get our hands on decided to go "solo." So, as we mourn the fact that our lead singer and possibly the best person in the band quit, we are also going to be looking for a replacement. Although Jon can sing, and sing pretty damn well, we wish to have a frontman, and if your available and want the job, talk to us or sign the guestbook. So, our voice is gone and will be hard to fill, but if you've got a knack for singing and showmanship, (a must,) please consider us. That's all for now.

Just a quick one...called brandon four times today, he wasn't home...i wonder why, he said he was. anyways, i wrote another song in that time called Homeless Not Hopeless. i actually got the idea from a homeless guy in spokane that was holding a sign that said the previous quote. but its pretty short, but sweet, and i think it'll do well. lyrics not up yet because im too lazy.
jack on 9/2/04

After the long guestbook ordeal, I'm praying it's over.  I'm writing a song now too, a long one, sort've like Jack's, except his is fantasy based, and mine is satanic based stuff, (go figure).  Anyway, it's OK at least.  Nowhere near being done, but hopeful definitely.  Dude...school starts in exactly two weeks.  NOT COOL.  DAMMIT.  Summer just slipped away.  Oh well, it'll be easier to organize band practices at school anyway.  And as it was commented, we do need more.  But...birthday's in three weeks...wOOt.  And for the record...why does everyone think it's the nineteenth today, Jack was like the fourth person to think that.
Jon on 8/18/04

Yea, so basicly no news because for a couple days there it was layed out in the guestbook, but i just got one thing to say and that is that i wrote another song with parts and everything today...because i was bored...because everyone's out of town...but anyways it's not posted yet because it's 10 minutes long almost on the button and most of the time there's singing...so it would take forever to put on the site and im too lazy. its called the temple of syron and its a completely bitchin song.
-Jack on 8/18/04

Well...as I said before...the site is a bitch and won't let me update on the songs section.  So now I can't post my new song, which totally kicks ass.  It's my remake of State of Panic, (the old one had the subject of nerve gas in it...not a good idea, so this one's more general).  Also, when it does work, I'm going to take out the lyrics for our covers.  Mainly because we didn't write them, and because we want people to read our lyrics, (even if some of them DO have satanic references, WHO CARES?!).  So we'll just have like, we cover these songs, blah blah blah.  In non-band news, I start Drivers Ed tonight...which kicks ass.  Now I can get my permit a few days after my birthday (Sept 8th).  As opposed to like, in December.
Jon on 8/3/04

OK, so today, a couple things.  I went to guitar center, which was awesome...as usual.  I got Reign in Blood, (Slayer), and I now know why they call it the number one thrash album of all time.  Also, I rewrote State of Panic...and I'm going to post it in the songs section.  It's decent...I guess.  Update: Since the songs section is a bitch, it won't let me post my song...but I'll post it later.
Jon on 8/1/04

Hahaha Jack.  Yeah, I'm back, and while I didn't write lyrics (because I had to play cello for seven hours a day), I did get a totally kick ass idea, which consists of a title, opening part and everything, and it'll blow the shit outta jacks songs...teehee.  Just kidding, it'll just run along the lines of factory made shit, which is below Jacks stuff at least.  Yeah, but it's called Interrelated Matters...and it's kinda Blood Brothers inspired, (that's Iron Maiden).  It'll be done by mid next week, (hopefully by wednesday).  And after that...I dunno.  Just for a little enlightenment, I found the absolute perfect time for thinking up of songs.  11:30 at night, laying in bed, looking at the ceilings...and ideas just come flowing in.  It is totally teh rulezorz.  I wonder if I used that correctly...eh, oh well.  And for your knowledge, if you've counted every song I've ever written, my count is just as high as Jacks.  The list is Arson, Gates of Hell, True Solution, War on Earth, and State of Panic.  Well, the last two were never finished, (but I am going to rewrite the latter).  Gates of Hell totally sucked ass, so we scratched it.  And True Solution was fine...besides the fact that it had no focus besides suicide.  So we got rid of that too.  Oh well, I've got a lot of freetime now, so I can finish the two songs I mentioned earlier.  And I'm gonna learn all the songs that Jack listed as covers.  So that'll give me enough to do.
Jon on 7/31/04

thomas is a kickass guy. the end.
jack on 7/30/04

i wrote another song and ive decided im going to stop churning them out and actually think about them for a while...so maybe jon might catch up, i dunno, he'll probably have two or so songs when he comes back on like sat or sun. my total of actual lyrics is five, while jons is one, and the rest are a pathetic 0. ross's song is still slowly maturing...anyways, its called When It Rains It Pours, and its my second best effort yet. ah yes...intrest on my part to cover Good Bye Blue Sky by Pink FLoyd, and i think my request will be granted. sweet.
-Jack on 7/29/04

was gonna have practice today, but couldn't reach ross or brandon, meaning that maybe tomm...anyways, we have a new list of maybe covers that ill tell you real quick...we wanna play Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix, You Got Another Thing Coming by Judas Priest, Hallowed Be Thy Name by Iron Maiden (the song that's on now,) and Sweet Child O Mine, so expect those on the songs page once the guys can all play a bit of em.no news other than that except Jon comes home in 2 days, meaning full band practices, wOOt. (over one 120 hits: excellent.)
-Jack on 7/28/04

GUESTBOOK IS UP!!! SIGN IT!!! for those of you too stupid to notice, its under the 'guestbook' page. have fun. So no new news for today except that i made up some really good riffs that will be used in the pirate, providing the guys dont change any of them, i personally think they are much better than the ones we are currently using for arson, especially since it has a couple solos for me and ross to mess around with. expect it to be our longest project yet reaching, and this is just an approximation, over ten minutes. But one that will get close to this is a song i just wrote entitled ...As The Walls Come Crashing Down. its bitchin and my best project yet, which is why it is now my favorite song. i hope it sounds like a pink floyd song off of the wall, because that's what i staged it around. about upcoming gigs...expect one NOT to happen in the summer. the summer is a good time for us to write lyrics and music and shouldn't be squandered trying to get ppl to come to a gig, especially because hardly anybody knows we exist, so school will be a valuble asset in trying to spread our name. expect one near halloween im thinking.
-Jack on7/25/04
P.S. Joey Johson completely and totally sucks ass...if you want proof, talk to me and ask to read our AIM conversation.

Just for a little posting diversity...I'm posting...yay.  So anyway, I'm goin to orch camp with shane, today.  In about 9 and a half hours.  Which means I should probably be sleeping...but screw that.  Well, in our world, yet another one of my songs was gotten rid of.  (Damn).  Lol, well, my problem is that I have trouble writing about things other than death, and genocide, and the like.  So, while at camp, I will attempt to write some lighter lyrics.  That's the third damn song.  But, one of them was pure shit, the other just bugged me, and the last one I'm keeping the title of anyway.  So I'm fine with getting rid of them.  Ross should be nearing completion on his songs any time now.  They are slowly, maturing, as he put it.  Well, I'm gonna try something at orch camp, which, if it works, will help us.  Since over the 5 days of playing I'll be practicing about 30 hours; that's a lot of playing, (no shit Jon).  Anyways, that'll give me a lot of time to think and make up stuff on my cello, and if I find anything good, I'll remember it, and transfer it to bass.  Then we could probably use it in instrumentals.  Practice-wise, I hope Jack can get Neil over to a practice soon, otherwise we might have to put Ross on vocal duties until Neil can come.  That would be a site.  Earlier this week I got a Metallica bass book, so I'm totally learning Anesthiesia, (for the unenlightened, it's a uberly sweet bass solo by none other than the bass god, Cliff Burton).  Yeah...later
-Jon on 7/25/04

wOOt 70 hits...anyways...i totally finally snapped to it and learned the rest of Eruption today...so now thats posted on the songs page...making our total of instrumentals three and making out toal songs up to 10. So...nothing else happening in our world.
-Jack on 7/24/04
PS: hey guys...im like the only one whos posted in a week...how bout we have a little more diversity in the news column...we can have more than one a day...

Later on the 23'rd at jacks house: me and jon decide to write an instrumental entitled Frolicking In The Fields With Fuzzy Little Elves...this ones for you andrea, haha. peace! (actually i dont give a damn about peace, but whatever.)

ok...i wrote a little instrumental that isn't finished yet but i happen to think that the intro is the best i've ever writen...so if we ever post that for download click it...but anyways...practice later today...more than likely just me and jon so it will probably just be a songwriting session or else just write a couple riffs for some stuff...take some sexy pics and totally play video games while eating popcorn.
-Jack on 7/23/04

woot...50 hits and the first verse to state of panic...uh...thats it...o yea...neil couldn't come to a practice with just me him and ross, (which i later scratched) because he like broke his wrist playing tennis...or at least the doctors think he did...so he got shipped out to st paul to get it checked out and made me enormously sad so i went to shrek 2 with some friends and it was funny. the end.
-Jack on 7/22/04

ok...i guess i should probably update you guys on the world of mafioso...we finished writing lyrics and riffs for Arson, but neil and brandon have still not looked at it yet...so that's not for certain. anyways...jons writing a new song entitled State Of Panic...i think we should expect good things from that. I have decided that my new song I Don't Do Love is as good as i can get it and is now posted and open to suggestions from any of my band mates. By the way...the new form page is sent to Brandons E-Mail and the band will read over all the forms/comments and might respond to them in the news section so keep an open eye for that. We would be glad for more comments on that...but since the counter is at about 20...i doubt we will get many beyond our own. Pics will be up soon once jon can figure out how to upload shit on his uberly confusing camera. i bid you farewell.
-Jack on 7/21/04

hey this is jack again, im not really gonna say much except for i wrote a new song, which sounds kind've like AC/DC. Its entitled I Dont Do Love and it is rockin, but im not gonna post it until right before band practice so the guys can look it over.
-Jack on 7/19/04

So...this is Jon, with a couple of updates.  Neil couldn't come to band practice today.  Maybe next time.  Since Ross got a new amp, all three of us, (Jack, Ross, and myself), all now have gig worthy amps.  It's pretty sweet.  I fixed the glitches in the songs part.  The names of the bands/people who wrote the songs weren't in line with the title, but I fixed that.  I edited Arson ever so slightly.  The first song I wrote, Gates of Hell, was eliminated today at Brandons house by order of me.  When I first wrote it, (first band practice), it appeared to be really good.  Today we looked at it and we just said, wow, that sucks.  So we got rid of that.  Now I'm trying to think of a new song.  Inspiration is low, however.
Jon on 7/15/04

so...me and jon are over at brandons and are totally playing in stuff...soyea...we made riffsto our songs and what not. woot.
-jack on 7/15/04

-Jack on 7/12/04

SUMMER CAMPS SUCK ASS!!! TAKE IT JON!!!
and yea...i wrote a new song, called the pirate, so check it out...i didn't check it over with the band, but i dont think they'll care if i post it...so there.
ah yes... addition:CARA IS WAAAAYYY HOTTER THAN JULIA AND KICKS ASS!!!im sorry to anyone i may have offended with this...
-Jack 7/11/04

What Jack won't tell you is that he was considering going to the camp too...but anyways.  I'm back, from a week of golf.  Yes...anyways, I thought up of a new song; Arson.  Teehee.  Yeah, so apparently all that happened while I was gone was Julia made Jack say she was hot.  And that she kicks ass.  Go Jack.  We need to have a practice or something, otherwise we'll never rise past garage band.                                                          Jon 7/12/04

Ok...Julia is totally like pressuring me into this with threats and torture and what not...and she wants me to put in huge bold letters: Julia Rocks My World And Is Really Hot!!! so here goes nothing... JULIA ROCKS MY WORLD AND IS REALLY HOT...never again julia...that was a one time deal...im sorry. 5 min later: ok...now shes mad at me for putting this on but im gonna keep it just to piss her off. YAY!!!
-Jack on 7/6/04

Nothin much goin in the world of Mafioso so far...practices as usual, and songwriting has been ok for myself...no new news...nothin to talk about...sudden urge to waste space...
G W A R!!!
-Jack on 7/5/04

OK, like Jack said, not that much news going on.  We still haven't had a practice with Neil, and it looks like an all band practice isn't likely, at least for another week.  (I'm gone at golf camp).  But hopefully they can do something while I'm gone.  Lyric-wise, a couple things.  One, I am taking down my song, (True Solution), for two reasons. 1) It sucks majorly, as I said before, it is eigth grade poetry esque.  2) Being focused on suicide, Jack suggested I stop writing about it, because of its imminent controversy, (even though we haven't even made a CD yet, let alone a demo), it still isn't a good idea.  So, I'm taking it down, not that anyone will miss it, as only 4 or 5 people saw it.  However, while I'm at golf camp, I'll try and write lyrics on SOMETHING that doesn't revolve around war or suicide, or death, for that matter.  Which was all I had in mind....well, shit.  I guarantee I'll have something done soon.  If Ross ever finishes his song, he'll humor you with his mafia topic.  Oh, and for a laugh, look at the links on the top of our site.                                                              Jon on 7/6/04

So, today, Jack came over, and he wrote a song, in about a half an hour.  Which is cool...I guess.  And I finished mine.  There up in the lyrics section.  Mine sucks though, it reminds me of eigth grade poetry, just with a suicide topic.  And later tonight I got Number of the Beast, a Best of Black Sabbath cd thing, and the G3 dvd.  (It's this concert with three good guitarists).  And when I say good, I mean like, holy shit, how's he doin that...good.  Yes...
